Michelle is a general practice lawyer with a diverse background. She has experience drafting contracts for a Fortune 500 company, working as a paramedic, handling assigned counsel appointments as a public defender, and managing an independent legal practice.
She received her undergraduate degree in Financial Economics from St. Catherine University. After working as a paralegal for several years, Michelle followed her passion and went to law school. She graduated, cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law with certificates in Health Law Compliance and Health Law.
An adept negotiator, Michelle particularly enjoys building relationships during contentious negotiations. She equally enjoys counseling clients regarding risk and strategy. She is a general practice attorney, working on a variety of cases involving family matters, criminal cases, estate planning and elder law. Michelle has counseled clients with a variety of legal concerns including employment related matters, business formation, and credit collections. She has accepted court appointments representing parents involved in CHIPs cases, and persons undergoing involuntary commitments for mental health concerns.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys hiking at county parks, crocheting, and listening to the Brewers games on the radio.
